First Walk in Booties

So it was time to test out how I do walking in those booties.

And I've got a video for you guys too! Note that it has not been altered in speed.

I walked so fast it was like I grew wings, mom said!

She had to struggle to keep up (holding my leash, my poop bag and the cell phone recording this video making sure not to shake too much!) BOL

Nowadays I've been walking strolling at 'ridiculously' slow speed.
I guess age has really caught up with me *sigh*

During the walk 1 bootie from hind leg flew off when I did the horse-kick after peeing. Hahaha

Then later mom suddenly discovered only 3 pieces left on me. So we quickly retraced our steps and retrieved the 'lost' bootie.  What an adventure.

Now after this test walk run we're gonna wait to use them again for rainy days.

Mom's New Toy

When Mom told me that she's gonna get herself a new toy, it didn't occur to me that IT can move by itself! Mine would all just lie there and I've got to go fetch them, it's so unfair!

Turned out it not only moves by itself, it gives out loud sound too though not as loud as Mr. Vacuum.  My friends, see the thing that moves around in the video below? That's the toy.  Mom says it's name is Roomba.

It is so smart to go dock itself to recharge battery.  *Yawn*... I need to recharge too!

Meal Time S.O.P. - Continued

Coming out from my personal toilet (oh yes, sometimes I do mis-aim and the pee flows down the side of tray. I know that when I hear Mom shouting "BOWIE!!" :P),

4.  I would be doing my rounds around the house (sometimes).

5.  After charging up energy (from my meal), I need to play.

Pee-S:  Sometimes I'd run fetch my Bear-Bear toy and bring to Mom indicating I wanna play.  At times I'd just look at Mom and whine BOL

6.  Catch my breath.  Rest and relax!

Amazing Volume-Controlled Barks

Not me, my friends, not in a thousand years! BOL!  But I must say, the Shiba Inu in the video is amazing!

Basically, the owner called her and she responded with a loud bark.  The owner then asked for softer (and softer) barks, of which the Shiba Inu responded accordingly! Mom said it has such a cute face she wanted so much to cuddle it! *I'm jealous!*

WOW!!!

How To Perform CPR On Your Dog

Saw this video teaching how to perform CPR on dog at The World According To Lexi.  I think it is very good and hence posting it here too (taken from youtube):

Hope you can also post the video on your blogs and let more people see it.

"Mind Your Manners"

img_2547 img_2551

Mommy first saw this lovely feeder while browsing at Amazon website.  It dispenses kibbles for me at meal times. But it's not just a feeder. It's called MannersMinder Remote Reward Training System (by Premier). As described by Amazon: "If Fido is barking at the door, jumping on house guests, or begging at the table for food far too much, here’s a great way to help him learn to mind his manners. The MannersMinder features a remote -controlled feeding tray that lets you reward Fido with a snack for good behavior without getting out of your lounge chair. By targeting and rewarding desired good behaviors, the system is an invaluable tool in helping redirect a dog's focus from unwanted behaviors. Highly effective in stopping problem behaviors..."

Mommy said I have all the unwanted behaviours described :(  and so got it to train me.  The machine can be set to dispense kibbles/treats at fixed or varied intervals and whether to dispense one treat or multiple treats at a time.

Product Features:
  • Trains through positive reinforcement
  • Instantly links a food reward to desired good behavior
  • Extendable target wand can be used with or without the base
  • Hand-held remote can operate on 4 separate channels from up to 100 feet away
  • Illustrated user guide and training DVD included
  • Uses 4 size D batteries (not included)

mm

A video clip of me being fed with it:

Mommy's testimony:
Lucky thing Bowie is very much motivated by food! However, that is not to say that dogs not so food-motivated cannot be trained with it. You just have to spare more efforts as with any other form of training. I like that a training DVD is also provided besides a printed (calender-like) training manual. The DVD shows both correct and incorrect training methods which are great! I followed the training tips closely and although I have not completed all the stages with Bowie yet, I am happy enough with the results so far.

For example, he barks and jumps at the door whenever someone visits at the door or when the repairman is in the house. With the MannersMinder, his attention is focused on it instead.

You can read more testimonials by other users here.

Sleep Baby Sleep ... ... ... *WOOF! WOOF! WOOOOFFFF!!!*

With reference to the title of this post, I can only say "A video speaks a thousand words".

Beware! Tune down your speakers' volume before you start watching this video!

Employ me as your "watch dog" as I never ever sleep on the job! *grin*

Mummy, up..up (part 2)

img_2376.jpg

Sometime last year, I wrote about how I would paw Mommy's thigh to let her know I wanna go up sleep on her lap (refer here), usually while she is using the computer.

This time round, Mommy managed to do a video recording of me doing the request! ^_^

Continue below only AFTER you have viewed the video ok?

From the video, you would have seen that I did not manage to persuade Mommy! :(

Therefore I sulked and slept below the computer table lor!

Raffy Got Stuck!

See? Raffy got stuck at my humans' bed and I was trying to rescue him!

raffy-got-stuck.jpg

However, I did not succeed in rescuing him (later I overheard Mommy telling Daddy that I merely made matters worse!)

:(

See video below to know why:

Did you enjoy the video? Did you see how I tried to "kill" Raffy by shaking him so vigorously?? Mommy always say it's a wonder my head doesn't fall off shaking soooo hard! hahaha...
